Trust & Safety
Every ride is between verified people, on a legal carpooling framework, with payments handled outside the car. Here is what that means in practice.
Verified identities
Every rider and driver completes a government-ID and liveness-selfie check through Didit before their first trip. No anonymous accounts, no made-up names.
Two-way ratings
Riders and drivers rate each other after every trip. Ratings are visible before you book. Accounts that consistently fall below our threshold are reviewed and removed from the platform.
Payments stay out of the car
The $3.75 contribution is handled by Stripe. No cash exchange between rider and driver, no tipping, no on-the-spot negotiation. Your card details are held by Stripe and never stored on Rydze servers.
Covered by Quebec no-fault insurance
In Quebec, anyone injured in a motor-vehicle accident is covered by the SAAQ public no-fault plan — including carpool passengers. This protection applies to every Rydze ride in the province, regardless of who is at fault.
